USA is partner country of Hannover Messe 2016


President Barack Obama announced on March 23 during the SelectUSA Summit that the United States will be the official partner country at the Hannover Messe next year. The world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology with over 6,000 exhibitors is the largest event for the industry and its suppliers. According to the White House "as Partner Country, the United States will be featured to a global audience as a supplier of high quality products and a prime location for business investment."

The signing ceremony of the partner country agreement by the board member of Deutsche Messe, Dr. Jochen Köckler, and Deputy Assistant Secretary Matthew Murray from the US Department of Commerce was held on March 24 in Washington, D.C., and also featured US-Ambassador to Germany John Emerson, representatives from the National Association of Manufacturers and the US Chamber of Commerce as well as Thomas Zielke, President, Representative of German Industry and Trade and representatives from the German Embassy.
