Successful Fact Finding Mission to International Financing Institutions

This week, RGIT organized a fact finding mission for German companies wishing to partake in the procurement process of the international financing institutions headquartered in Washington, DC. Participants had the opportunity to speak directly with project and procurement managers at the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Millennium Challenge Corporation. The institutions’ procurement teams emphasized their interest in learning about the newest technologies being developed in the private sector.

The goal of the trip was to highlight the diverse business opportunities for German companies within the complex structure and project cycles of the international financing institutions. Consultants, engineers and suppliers all have the same opportunity to work on the institutions’ projects.

Participants described the program as having brought significantly more clarity on the programs and operations of the World Bank Group.
