RGIT welcomes study group of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation

On July 6th,  Dr. Thomas Zielke, Representative of the German Industry and Trade, invited the working group “Arbeitskreis Mittelstand” of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation for a briefing and mutual exchange of ideas to the office of RGIT in Washington, D.C.  The working group promotes the dialogue between business, society and politics with a focus on small and medium sized businesses.

The emphasis of the meeting was on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership TTIP and related topics such as digitalization, investments and the legal certainty in the USA. Employees of the RGIT together with representatives of German companies and networks in the U.S. facilitated a comprehensive American point of view in terms of free trade agreements and hence were able to answer remaining questions of the working group.
