RGIT hosts TTIP debrief for 15th negotiation round


As part of its regular TTIP debrief series, the Representative of German Industry and Trade (RGIT) hosted members of the EU Delegation’s Trade and Agriculture Section on October 20th to update European companies on the latest developments in the TTIP negotiations. The EU delegation, led by Damien Levie, discussed the progress made by negotiators in the three pillars of the free trade agreement: in market access, in rules, and in regulatory cooperation. Additionally, participants discussed the timeline for future TTIP negotiations, the EU’s approval process of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), the market economy status of China for the EU and the US, and lastly the effect of Brexit on the transatlantic market.
