Governor Christie Vetoes the NJ Buy America Bill

RGIT welcomes Governor Chris Christie’s decision today to veto the Buy America bill (S.B. 1811). Governor Christie noted that foreign owned companies are responsible for 225,000 jobs in the State of New Jersey – German companies are responsible for about 10% of these jobs – and that jobs would be lost with Buy American regulations. Christie also noted that the bill would drive up costs for the State of New Jersey and chill future foreign investment. RGIT is proud to have joined the effort by several German companies and other foreign organizations in opposing this bill and requesting the veto.
