CSU delegation meets with representatives of U.S. industry


On October 28 RGIT greeted a delegation of members of the German Bundestag party CSU (Christian Social Union). The delegation included former federal minister Gerda Hasselfeldt, as well as members of the Bundestag Florian Hahn, Dr. Andreas Lenz and Hansjörg Durz. Also in attendance were representatives of the German Embassy, Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI) and U.S. industry, such as Siemens, Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI). The discussion, opened by Dr. Thomas Zielke, focused on the reindustrialization of the U.S. manufacturing sector. Industry representatives shared their perspectives with an analysis of the U.S. manufacturing sector and its attractiveness to foreign investors as a result of continued favorable labor and energy trends.
