Federation of
German Industries

The Federation of German Industries (BDI) is the umbrella organization of German industry and industry-related service providers.
The BDI speaks for 37 sector associations, 15 regional offices, and approx. 100,000 companies with a total workforce of about eight million people.
The BDI represents the interests of German industry vis-ŕ-vis policymakers in Germany, Europe and around the world. The organization also makes political decisions transparent for its member associations.
Since November 1999, the BDI has been headquartered in the ‚House of German Business’ (Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft) in Berlin.
The BDI maintains liaison offices in Brussels, Washington, London, and Tokyo.

Association of German Chambers
of Industry and Commerce

The Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) is the umbrella organization of the 80 German chambers of industry and commerce.
The German chambers of industry and commerce are public corporations.
Since October 1, 1999 the DIHK has been headquartered in the ‚House of German Business’ (Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft) in Berlin.
Worldwide, the international trade relationships of German companies are being promoted in more than 80 countries by about 120 bilateral chambers (AHKs), representatives and liaison offices.
