Today, more than 3,400 German companies - many of them small and medium sized businesses - have investments in the American market.

German Business Matters - A State by State Analysis

U.S. subsidiaries of German-owned firms play a vital role in the U.S. economy, with competitive German businesses contributing to the economic health and prosperity of the American economy. These subsidiaries create jobs for American workers. German companies employ 614,000 American workers, German businesses accounted for 11% of the 5.6 million insourced jobs in the United States in 2008.
